On Sunday May 4th, Sherry McCaskill headed up a very successful fundraising event supporting the Revlon Run/Walk. The Revlon Run/Walk exists to support pioneering research, deliver diagnostic treatment services for medically under-served women, and provide psycho-social & financial support to women facing cancer. At the gateway, women enjoyed a great spaghetti dinner and socialized while waiting for the raffles. While they were waiting, they enjoyed many of the baked goods for sale. The room was filled with excitement as women checked out the great gift baskets available for the raffle. Seven different raffle baskets were offered including a wine basket, a children’s basket and relaxing bath salts donated by Char of Handmade by Char. Women were also encouraged to use the fun accessories and get their photo taken at the photo booth. The final numbers haven’t been calculated but it is estimated that the event brought in at least $1500 for this worthy cause. Sherry would like to give a great big THANK YOU to Kiki for hosting the event at her studio and to everyone who came and supported this worthy cause. A special shout out to Sheila Huguley, Amy Aguilera, Jennifer Diego Cardegna, Sandi Guinn, Pam Merced, Kayla McCaskill, and Sondra Ward for helping to put the event together. Sherry is very thankful for your extra effort, help, and support. Fundraising for the Revlon Run/Walk wll end with the walk this Saturday the 10th. A team of 45 representing Kiki’s Fab & Fit Krew will walk 5.6K ending at the LA Coliseum. If you were not able to attend and would like to make a donation, please see Sherry.
Sherry is a regular at The Gateway to Health. She is a 2 year breast cancer survivor and is a recent recipient of a Zumba Gold certificate.
